We know we ran out of books this morning!

Thank you to those of you that came out to LASA's elective fair and choice sheet presentation this morning. We know that Saturdays can be busy, especially when the weather is so nice.

If you missed the mandatory choice sheet presentation this morning, there will be a virtual option from 6-7pm on Wednesday, March 8th. It will be live streamed on YouTube with the link going live about 10 minutes prior to 6pm. Please make plans to attend as it is very important if you missed the presentation this morning.  Please note that there is not elective fair offered on Wednesday. You can learn about our electives on the LASA website and/or by perusing the Course Guide.

We know that many of you bought the required reading for 9th grade year this morning at the Elective fair from our Raptor Librarian, Ms Switek, as our LASA book fair with BookPeople happens to be going on this week. We also know that we ran out very quickly as we only had a limited amount of copies in hand. However, do not fret! Our book fair is still going on until Sunday, March 5 at 11:59pm.  You can order online and pick up your books directly from BP to save on shipping costs!

Again, this is completely OPTIONAL. There will be copies available in the classroom for students to check out. This is only for those that want their own copy to write in or annotate.

Also, we were asked about the summer book club this morning. It is not anything required. It is just a way for kids to connect, meet new Raptor friends and also read something fun and talk about it. Dates for the "one-time" meeting in the summer will come out sometime before school is out for the summer. It is not mandatory but we'd love for you to join in, if you want. The book is called "Piecing Me Together" by Renee Watson.

We sent all this information earlier this week with the links to all the books mentioned above and here is that post for reference.

Enjoy this beautiful weather!
